I can finally use these
When I first bought these I tried all the ear tips including the agressive ones that go into the ear. I couldn't get them to stay without falling out after a few minutes from sweat, and I found them itching my ears. Since I made the purchase for running and gym workouts I NEED them to be secure, so I found I couldn't use them, just too distracting.
JayBird sent me their new ear gells which I got yesterday night when I got home from work. So of course, took them for a run last night AND this morning... and I'm very impressed, a major turn around. I'm using the medium size gells and medium sized black ear tips and I literally keep forgetting the Freedom's are there. They are secure and I don't have the slightest sense of them tugging out.
So verdict is all positive for the new gells. Dissappointing that they were not included from the start, good to see JayBird reacting and atleast getting it right. My runs are really so much more fun. I finally like my Freedom's, actually loving them. Runners should try these (with the free gells from Jaybird).
What's great about it: The new gells
What's not so great: Running without them

Great sound, great fit, great earbuds
After going round and round with several different headphone options, including the Motorola Bluetooth version, I stumbled upon the JayBird Freedom JF3's on the shelf. The staff in the mobile department said they had just come in, and they hadn't tried them, but they liked the other JayBird products, so these had to be up-to-par.
Long story short, I'm done exchanging headphones, as I've found the perfect pair. I can run, lift, mow the lawn or just hang around and listen to music without having a wire down my shirt and connected to my phone. Best of all, if a call comes in, I can just push the button and answer it through the same device.
Sound quality is great, though obviously there is some sound degradation due to Bluetooth, it's not enough to turn me (generally, someone who is obsessed with sound quality) away. There's a surprising amount of smooth bass, and very crisp highs. They stay put in my ears through vigorous activity, and the adjustable neck strap is great because it doesn't get in the way of a hooded sweatshirt or shirt collar.
I'd absolutely recommend these to anyone who is looking for new headphones.
What's great about it: Stays put, smooth/good sound quality
What's not so great: seems the left ear is a little louder than the right

I'm done looking
Sound quality: They match my Bose IE headphones in sound performance. Good bass and well balanced.
Secure fit: The special eartips work really well. Suprising how well they work actually. They hold in place for running very well. I'm also signed up for the new secure fit ear cushions and look forward to trying them out too.
Pairing: Simple and worked like a charm
Range: I had my iPhone in my pocket at first and would have an occasional skip in the music, Been using my armband and it's great.
Functions: Just like any other bluetooth headphone product I've tried
Yeah, I'm done looking. These are the ones for me.
What's great about it: sound performance
What's not so great: nothing so far
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor Product
The first set that I bought wouldn't power on or charge and I had to return them and exchange them. Jaybird said "Oh you must have gotten a defective pair", like it happened often. Then when I got the new ones they won't stay synced with my iPhone that well. They playback is very bad. They cut out alot and lose signal frequently. The "Gecko" earbuds hurt my ears in all three sizes and the normal earbuds won't hold them in my ears for anything. I can't believe these are this bad after they are supported by the US Triatheletes. What a waste of money!!!!
What's great about it: The strap on the earbuds to keep from losing them when they fall out of your ears and they will.
What's not so great: The synchronization with the iPhone is horrible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
