Blue Tooth Wireless Stereo Headphones
Technology is moving along at an unprecedented pace these days. A few decades ago people did not believe that a silver disc would be able to contain songs let alone that a small device about the size of your palm will be able to be used as a telephone and a radio. But that is exactly what we have today. Cellular phones have become more than just phones. They have become day planners, hand-held games and mp3 players. And as people look for more ways to listen to music where they go, other people are looking for ways to make it possible. Enter the Bluethooth wireless stereo headphones.
The older generations will remember the eighties when the Walkman first made its appearance on the streets. Now you could listen to your tunes while you walk. Next came the Discman that allowed the same thing but played compact discs instead of tapes. Now people are listening to mp3’s on their cellular phones. To make matters worse, wires are not even necessary to do this anymore. Bluetooth technology has made it possible that a person can keep their cellular phone in a bag or pocket and listen to music while wearing Bluetooth wireless stereo headphones. And as things get smaller, headphones are slowly becoming more and more invisible.
But how does Bluetooth do it? The technology would take an entire chapter in a book to explain. In simple terms, Bluetooth uses a specific frequency of radio waves that can only be picked up by other Bluetooth devices. This allows two or more devices to communicate with each other and to share data and information without the need for wires. This sounds familiar, but what makes Bluetooth revolutionary is the distance between objects – up to 110 yards or more (100 meters) – and the fact that there is very little interference between the communications that plagues other wireless systems. Bluetooth devices can communicate with any other Bluetooth device. This means that Bluetooth wireless stereo headphones that were originally made for use with cellular phones can be applied to a computer with a Bluetooth adaptor. That is if the computer has the appropriate software and drivers to support the headset, of course.
There have been some concerns about Bluetooth and security. The biggest problem being that cellular phones that have their Bluetooth activated are susceptible to a variety of things that can be broadcast via Bluetooth. This does not just include advertisements in malls and such but is also includes viruses that can seriously damage the cellular phone’s software or steal your information from the phone. While these concerns are very real, it has not stopped the development of useful items like Bluetooth wireless stereo headphones and other items. While there is certain to be some teething problems – as with any new technology – Bluetooth has so far proven to be a great use both with cellular phones and in the office.
